Eisenglass alternatives??

I need new spray curtains on my B31. Are there good alternatives to Eisenglass? I ask because I saw one of the youtube sailing channels that used some sort of semi rigid thin plastic for a dodger which I believe the product came from Canada.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Markrolon, a polycarbonate, is great. It is rigid and can't be rolled, but makes for great visibility, and looks good.

Thank, I'll look into it. Having mixed results with Eisenglass over the years, I'm ready to try something different

Strataglass, pricey but clearer and last longer while still being rollable/storable. As it last longer you will want to upgrade the thread.
It's still just a clear vinyl sheet needing to be cleaned properly to keep its clarity.

That was Uncle Vic's choice with Goretex (or was it kevlar?) thread wasn't it Carl?

Gore-tex /Tenara was the choice of UV...pretty sure its what Bob Lico prefers as well.

Had new Bridge Panels (3) made. Lying in bed of my F-150. Here’s a couple of pics, one with all the info on. Center panel unzips on three sides, sides and bottom and pivots at the top to snap to hard top over helm. Port and starboard panels bend on upper and lower tracks to follow contour of bridge.🤪EarleyBird

i have had all four choices of clear window material on the bridge of my boat. you really cannot compare the Air Polycabonate to the others, it is like looking out your living room window ! seriously it is as clear as glass.

Rick,

Polycarbonate is awesome. You do need to be careful cleaning it as it scratches more easily. But its super clear and I love mine!

Does it take a special machine to work with the Polycarbonate or will a normal upholstery machine work with the product?
