Tony I did spray it it took me 6 hrs non stop spraying. I sprayed the Vberth,Head, and cabin all at the same time. I think it came out good for my first time spraying.

Cam I used the Accuspray 3M PPS gun. It worked great minimal clean up as the cup is a liner and the spray head is disposable. https://www.nationaltoolwarehouse.com/A ... gKIp_D_BwE

You say 5hrs non-stop spraying, the big question is how many hours of prep? 5x or 10x prep hours

Something tells me to get it to come out that nicely you did an enormous amount of prep

Yes lots of prep work and still some spots I missed. I definitely would spray a guide coat next time for fairing. I learned a lot doing this job! But all in all I think it looks pretty good.

Great job for the first time spraying. Hard to tell if you had any runs. Usually runs and Orange Peel are the biggest problems for first timers. I have even seen experienced painters get runs or orange peel.

That is more than I would attempt for the first time spraying. For that type of work you need a good mask and suit.

That really is nice work.

Tony It was a learning experience for sure. A couple spots have some orange peel not to bad and I only got one run and it was my fault I changed the spray pattern and forgot to turn it back resulting in a slight run and little sag. Spraying outside in the elements presents its own set of challenges as well Bugs,Dust, and it is fall I got a couple of leaves as well but I was able to pull them off hit it again and move the pieces into the garage. I wear a good mask gloves and long pants and a shirt. I didn’t wear a tyvek suit because it is tight in there and didn’t want to bump into fresh paint being that I sprayed the whole cabin and head in one shot. In the end I am happy with the results and I can say I did it all myself start to finish.

You can always sand out the bad spots and hit it again.

One word of caution, a good suit for protection goes a long way. My brother in law has had issues since he was 30 and is now 65 due to spending too much time painting cars without a suit. Your skin absorbs all the chemicals. At 30 he was on his way to running his liver so he eventually got out of the business before it killed him. Now he is fighting Parkinson's which the doctors think is from all the chemicals he absorbed when he was younger.

Car and boat paints are nasty stuff.
