210 Cummins Question

If the 210's don't have after coolers, do they have fuel coolers or do they get their extra power form just the turbo? Is there a weak point in the engines? I changed the water pumps on my 330's to Tony's at Seaboard Marine. Do 210's use a different water pump than the 330's. The only thing that drove me crazy was cleaning the aftercoolers every two years on my 330's.How about the injector pump does it give trouble? It sounds like there is a lot less maintenance on the 210's.

I really cannot speak as I just getting into them.

But they have nothing but a turbo over naturals.

I consider that a plus, others don't. To each their own but I wanted least amount of electronics on the motors, slow revving and simple while being able to cruise 20 knots and not breaking the bank. For me, I narrowed my search to 210's or 250's.

AGAIN; i cleaned after coolers once in 14 years. both 330 hp cummins run exactly at thermostat setting (190 degrees). i also suggest ES COMPLEAT BY FLEETGUARD. lifetime engine coolant. flush engines with either Salt Away or Rydyne

I hear you Bob, but simpler is better for me. Are the 250's only turbo's no aftercoolers or do they have fresh water cooled aftercoolers.

The 250s and 270 Cummins have fresh water cooled after coolers
