Hull Number ID

Does anyone know how to decode/read the hull number? my boat is a 1970 31 Bahia Mar and the numbers I found on my hull are 31-6964. thanks

Usually the numbers on pre 1972 boats were marked in paint or ink up in the V Berth or on the transom just above the rear bilge pump.

Where was yours located? The 6964 is throwing me off. It is possible your boat is actually a 69 and then what the 64 stands for would be beyond me. Usually the number denotes what the production number was.

the number is on the transom in the bilge area

There was a big push for members on the site to post their hull numbers.
This was a few years back.
31 ...says its a 31
6 ...says its a Bahia
the following numbers are the actual hull number.
I own Bahia 1003 and it is a 1970.
Do a search for the prior thread ... and enjoy your boat
