Southbound and Truck Scales

a couple of weeks ago I realized that...well...I'm kinda done. Wiring done, systems done. paint done (except for boot stripe). Pipe work and upholstery are on the to-do list and there is no one in the DC area for these crafts.
Sooo...headed south to Wilmington to finish up! Here's a picture in the driveway before the 7 hour haul (looks the same now, thankfully.) The truck I bought to haul the Bertram around (and everything else) now has 135K on the clock, but still pulls like a locomotive.

Stopped off at Exit 33 on 95 (Virginia) to check the weight of the boat. My trailer weighs exactly 2000 lbs (heavy beast - all galvanized steel). Weigh truck + trailer. Then weigh truck only. The scale lady looks at you funny, but it works.
Estimating I have 50 gallons of fuel on board, the calculated dry weight is 4700 lbs. Very happy with this number. Old data sheets have the sport convertible at 4250, and I added alot of structure to the boat. Gives me a little room for T-top and upholstery mass. I was shooting for 5500 lbs. ready to run with fuel. I'll be a little over, but not too much.
