Door is in!

After a loooooong time in storage, I finally installed the console door yesterday. It's a little wild and crazy. Iroko frames and book-matched curly old growth redwood with a bit of purpleheart for the panel, finished in many, many coats of AwlWood. Jewels fill the knot hole.

Are you going to be able to use this boat? Looks like something that should be in an art show...not used for fishing.

Great work!

I'd say now go out and use it...but we have that pesky Winter thing going on.

Thanks! I'm using the boat right now, it's just on a trailer and not in the water! I get to spend lots of quality time with her, just in a stationary mode!

Knocking things off the punch list over the winter. Upholstery and T-top are the 2 major items that may have to wait for a while. For the T-top I like the shape of the 32 Hunt's top. Might try to make mine resemble this: https://huntyachts.com/models/coastal/3 ... r-console/

:-D

Cam, I can say without reservation that yours is the most beautiful console door ever! And yes, mimic the T-top on the Hunt 32 and you can’t go wrong aesthetically. You have been a faithful and determined steward, and my hat’s off to you. Can’t wait to get you and your B-25 down to NC!

If Randall was still on the board he would be in awe. That is a nice door.

Randal would make a Door piece of artwork that looked like that door then that door does, but not be a door.

I miss Randall posting his work. Man he is an unbelievable artist. His wood carving skills are amazing.

Beautiful Work Cam!
Well done!
I just picked up another B25. Totally unmolested, 1969 inboard model without engines and a FB. Nice shape, I’m thinking about putting a bracket and an outboard on her and fishing it hard. The other B25 I have is stripped and a naked hull ready for a new life! I was going to make it a center console and still have that plan in place. Such well designed and solid boats...
Keep us posted and the pictures coming, you are an inspiration!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!
