Terry Frank passed away...

Post by Tommy »

I am sorry to report that Terry Frank of Morehead City passed away early this morning (17th). His wife, Maryanne, emailed me the sad news. Terry owned the 31 Limited Edition until this past year when his health prevented him from using it, and he was a regular at the N.C. Bertram Rendezvous. He and his son participated in one of the Uncle Vic Invitationals at Tropic Star Lodge. Terry will be missed by all who knew him.

Sad news. He was a class act, I enjoyed meeting him at the NC rendezvous a couple years ago.

He was sitting behind me at the meet and greet the first night and I heard someone say “Happy to be here. Happy to be anywhere” and I turned around and told him “You must be Terry Frank” because I always liked that line from his forum signature. I’m pretty sure he was dealing with some tough health issues then as well. That byline seemed to point to a good outlook when dealing with those issues. He was a good guy, one of the many folks that made Laurie and I feel welcomed out there.

Tommy, thanks for letting us know. Please pass on my condolences to his family.

What terrible news.

He recently told me that an antibiotic related mishap earlier in the year had required that he be in a medically induced coma for several weeks. Said that he woke up 50 pounds lighter and with a beard.

He was a good guy. I'll miss him.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Seems like the Sandbox is filling up with a lot of good people upstairs...if I manage to make it up there too one day...we should have a good time.

My condolences as well. Really nice guy. Met him at one of the Greenport NE rendezvous. After talking with himI always had the Moorhead area on my list of places to visit. Finally made it there this spring.
