B28 exhaust Y

Post by cjordan »

I have a B28 with original 351 gas engines. I am replacing all the exhaust elbows and Y pipes. I am having a hard time finding the Y pipes. I was going to make a set out of monel or hastalloy pipe but I am not close to the boat to get any measurements. Does anyone know the measurements?
I have a friend that looked at it and told me the in (coming from riser) was 3" and the outlet (going to muffler) was 3.5".
Any help would be appreciated. Also if someone could point me in the right direction I do not mind purchasing them but I can not find any with the in 3" and out 3.5"

For what it's worth and if I recall correctly the B28's Y's are 3 equal 3" outlets, the 3/12" side being sleeved so as to accommodate the larger exhaust on the straight overboard side.

Try Danny at High Tide Marine for an O.E.M. spec / advice, he should be able to help you.
