Working on the boat last week I had the radio on bridge to bridge. Communication from harbor tug Angela Foss to a large container ship entering Seattle, Elliott Bay.
"Hello there big boy..."

Maybe I’ll see you out there. I’m on the PS right now. Soon moving to Westport for the summer.

Someone was having a slow day.
I have heard similar comments during the summer from bridge operators to bites asking for bridge openings.

Hey Decent, what is your boat name and description? I'll keep an eye open although Amberjack will be pretty much nailed to the dock at Elliott Bay while we finish up the refit, then we head into BC for 6 weeks on July 10.
Tony--I also get a lot of drawbridges when I listen to the VHF at home. Seattle has 9 drawbridges and I can receive 4 busy in city ones plus the Ballard Locks. Its a lot more interesting than listening to talk radio when I work in the yard.
