HELP! exhaust hose question still

What is the difference between hard-wall and soft-wall exhaust hose? I need 5" pipes from the mufflers to the exhaust tips and saw a local guy on Ebay with soft-wall pipes and want to know if it's suitable.

Hard wall has a spiral wire wrap embedded into the rubber for reinforcement and allows some bending of the hose without collapse.
Softwall has no wire and will kink at the slightest bend. It will also sag over distance without proper support and can create a harmonic noise as the hose vibrates under exhaust pressure.
There is also hardwall corrigated that will allow sharp bends without kinking.

Bruce, Thanks. Would three feet unsupported be too much?

we used the blue silicone coragated on my exhaust and it is fairly stiff, but it will be some.got a lil kink on the flange outlet trying to make up to the glass tube but nothing bad. looks alot cleaner that the black hose also...not cheap........but well worth it ,,,
