Fish Box Gutter Dimension

Guys,
I'm trying to work through the dimensions for the Coosa gutters for my in-deck fish boxes. Below is a photo of the size gutter that I'm leaning toward. This gutter would have 2-3/4" total width, with 3/4" of the gutter creating the lip under the lid. My thought was a 1/8" routed round over on the inside edge of the gutter, a 1/4" wide routed gutter 1/2" deep, and 3/16" on each side of the gutter.
My primary concerns are:
1. Is 2-3/4" of Coosa glassed onto the bottom of the deck enough width to distribute the weight of the people, etc, that will be on the fish box lid?
2. Is a 1/4" wide x 1/2" deep enough gutter to move water that gets down in the seam of the fish box lid?
All feedback is greatly appreciated.
