The 54 is a beast of a boat. Probably the best hull Bertram built. Runs through anything.

I love the glass front windshield. Never loved the closed in feel of most boats. Looks like a beast but way out of my league.

Marketing ploy or not...think they got the finger on the right button.

I know for sure I enjoyed the video of that wake more then the look around the cabin, although as Pete said its refreshing to see out the front instead of being glassed over.
Just wish I could have heard the engine and exhaust over the music, I had on mute, got sound, heard music and went back to mute.
And of course one nice shot over the transom at speed would be perfect.

Wishing them the best...looks to be shaping up like a boat I'd want someday.

Considering the artwork throughout the 61 being vintage B31 shots and the very clear identification with the brand's heritage, identifying with and connecting to the deep-V design might be an angle they haven't developed as well.

I like the structure for the bridge, looks like a great idea over supporting the upper through the window frame. Unless the structure seen isn't and its riding on windows.


At least if done right...we used to have a small Cruisers Inc with small bridge that was supported by from front windows and two aluminum pillars at the rear. Might have been great on a small flat lake, but ocean fatigued the alum developing cracks over time.
Funny how dad tried all the gimmicky tricks like JB Weld and screwing on little tabs to hold till I mentioned he had a machine shop, then the light went off, he gave it a look, laughed and built it right. Sometimes shoemakers have the worst shoes.

Wonder if they upgraded the peel and stick feature? Not a popular option it turned out.


The 54 was a tank. I redid two and baby sat one at the marina for a foreign based client for 3 years while he tried to sell it. Only boat over 50' I felt comfortable taking out and docking by myself.
Them 12v92's drank like Betty Ford.

Fine.

Use the $2,000,000 to buy fuel. Or new iron....

The 54 is still the king.

I took pictures of the 35s and was told very definitely that there were no pictures of the 61 to be taken !!
