replacing outriggers

I am about to replace the outriggers on my boat. I don't plan to use them for fishing, but I love the classic look of a B31 with outriggers. What kind, size, etc should I consider? I have looked on the Lee Tackle and Rupp's websites, but I don't know which models would work. Can somebody give me a hand?

I bought Rupp Tournament Lift Outs, with 22' poles.

They will be mounted up this spring, but are the same as Nick Zerille has on his boat. They looked so super incredible I changed from the Lee classics...

If you're not going to fish with them, you're sure spending a lot of money and asking for a fair bit of maintenance just so you can't get under low bridges. UV once told me where I could get one of those parachute boat winches for my old 28?

JP's dad just installed Rupps on mine. I replaced a set of Lees. the Lees were just old and since I redid the boat I wanted new ones. They both looked good in my humble opinion and you cannot go wrong with either. Personally, if you don't plan to fish with them I would put them in the expensive pain in the ass category.

Hal and John are right. If your not going to fish then why do it. They are a pain to take care of and cost big dollars. On the other hand if you get them its just the reason you need to buy lots of fishingrods and other stuff and learn how or start fishing."The Gods do not subtract the hours spent fishing from a mans life." Get the riggers! Go fishing!!

I have it!!! I have a pair of 30 year old Rockaway 22' riggers only, no holders. Near perfect condition packed in paper in a loft for 25 years. You could either make or buy holders, and have some classic riggers to match your boat. If you are interested I can get some pics to you.

Mitch,

Do you have any pictures of the outriggers that you mentioned?

Mitch,
If SSIMM doesn't want them, I would be interested. Mine got pretzeled during Hurricane Katrina. My holders are O.K.

Thanks,

Marshall,

I have a set of 22' Lee's w/double spreaders riggers, is that what your looking for with your original bases?

I had plain poles, but poles with spreaders would be nice. How much and what kind of shape are they in?
Thanks

Marshall,

There in pretty good shape if you are interested and I may be going to Venice Marina on May 18th to go fishing and could possibly drop them off to you at Salvo's Rest. on Hwy 23 on the way down or email you a picture of them if you want to make sure thats what you are wanting. PM me your phone # so we can talk.

Hey Andre -- Repairs are going not unwell. Very slow process considering limited time (baseball practice, dance lessons, wife). I have patched and fared all of the big holes. I'm now fixing minor scrapes. Should be ready to prime in a month or so. Randy claims he can paint it for me -- hmmm.

Understand Marshall. Keep at it. Told someone about the eight foot by 1 1/2 foot hold in her side tonite.
Moved boat to Venice this past weekend, Cypress Cove.
