1986 Bertram 28 factory galvanic isolator

Post by Gigharbor28 »

Where should I be looking for this galvanic isolator if it is a factory install? The factory manual talks about it, but I haven't been able to locate it. Am I missing something really simple here? My shore power cord connects minship port side with a main A.C. breaker just aft in the port cockpit storage area with sliding doors. The boat is new to me. I am going through all the ground connections/bonding and cleaning all the connections. I just had the boat out of the water and there was some evidence of some electrolysis. I was going to purchase a new galvanic isolator and I just happened upon this info. in the manual. It would be nice if it is already installed.
Thanks,
Douglas

Not sure if that was an option or standard install. It should be located between the main a.c. panel and the shore inlet.

Mine is on a shelf behind the screwed in panel on the Port side cockpit. Just aft of the cabin. Mine is also a 1986
