I'm getting ready to make the cut out for the cabin door in the new main bulkhead. I know there was a post at one point about the exact size but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have the dimensions handy, would be a big help.

thanks

Bill,
My openning is 20 3/4 X 71. I'm looking for a suitable door as mine has the bottom 8" cut off. Why? Damn if I know. Same with the head. Thought about using plexi to match the color of the cabin windows and to add more light. Might be a bit pricy, but hey, if I don't spend it on the boat I'll piss it away on something really useless.

I just finished working on my doors. I had to build a new door for the head.............I built it 20" X 72" tall. I believe that the original one was 20" X 71" tall but since I was rebuilding the entire thing I choose to make it 72" tall.

I was able to reuse the main cabin door and just do major rework to the door jams. The main cabin door is 20-3/4" wide X 71" tall.

I wanted to use Smoked Plexi but choose to go back with the old one. My thoughts were that to use plexi the door would have to be at least 1" thick to accomendate the door latch and even better would be 1-1/8" thick...............the original door was 3/4" thick and that included the formica.
One of my favorite charter boats in Orange Beach Al has plexi doors with a sail fish etched in the inside face..........its really neat
