Starboard non skid

I was redoing a couple tackle centers on my 42’ and ordered some precut 1/2” strarbord as shelves to slide tackle trays onto. When I went to pick the stuff up, the vendor said he was out of the conventional stuff but had some non skid starboard. I got some of the shelves out of this, wish I had all of them this way, this stuff has a diamond finish on one side, but the top of the diamond are flat, not pointed and I would serious consider this as a cockpit decking material, not slippery, easy on bare feet, easily cleanable probably forever, brush, scouring powder type cleaner. Any body used this stuff for any other application
