Well the 25 finally arrived, and all is well! Pics to follow.
For now, suffice to say that I am happy, and that this picture pretty much describes my state of mind!

The truck finally arrives at Norwegian border. I meet up with the driver for customs clearance and get a first glimpse of the cargo..

Stopping for fresh gas en route. Got some curious stares from fellow tankers..
(Did I mention that feeding a twin-V8 gasser in Norway isn't a cost saving exercise..)

Finally at the marina, ready to get wet! The marina owner was all over the boat. Not a common view in these parts.

The "aahhh"-feeling of relief when engines start and everything works as expected after a long period in storage.

Overall it appears to be in very nice shape. Of course, there are always some things to be addressed. I am looking forward to getting to grips with the project list and sharing with you guys along the way!

Thanks guys - I am enjoying it, although summer seems to be ending. Time for winter storage soon.

Looks beautiful. How much longer do you have till winter starts taking over?

September is usually nice; October is unpredictable. Can be crisp and pleasant, or can be cold. I usually get the boat out of the water early October, and back in late April. November is the month you don't want to spend in Norway, but in December the nice part of winter is kicking in..

That looks lovely. The Riva touches and Stainless around the windshield stand out to me.
Congratulations,
Stephan

That 3/4 pic with the trees in the background is a classic pic for an ad or a calendar!
As a matter of fact it reminds me of a similar pic of the new 35.
Beautiful, enjoy!!

Sardines.. No, Yannis is right: mackerel. The small ones are delicious fried in butter..

Lars, when are these pics taken, because were still in our swimsuits in late sept.
Deep in the winter we may dress like junior, and certainly NOT on a boat!!!
Funny planet!

Lars,
Take the mackerel and rinse it. As it has no scales, theres not much more to do except gutting and rinsing.
Then, light a charcoal fire or equivalent bbq.
Then cut thin tomato slices and thin garlic slices that you put on the tomato.
Then place whole fish on tomato slices on bbq.
Then turn on other tomato/ garlic slices.
Then remove and eat; whole fish should be 9 and 7 minutes on both sides.
Then kiss your junior.
Regards.

Haha - yeah, I'll come swimming with you, and you can come skiing with me..
Pics are from this Saturday; terrible cruising weather, but fine for fishing. Tomorrow the forecast claims swimming weather again - we'll see.. I'll choose Greece for September any day.

Thanks for the cooking tip, and enjoy your irritatingly long summer! :-)
