Vernatone Muffler Minimum Clearance

Post by JohnV8r »

Guys,

Is 1/2" clearance between a Vernatone muffler and the hull and deck sufficient? I cannot find anything on the Centek installation sheet about clearance requirements.

Thanks!

don't know about half an inch, but mine are maybe 2 inches away for a very very long time.

John,
I always built a fore and aft cradle that supported the mufflers. 1/ 2 clearance is fine as long as exhaust is well supported and secured.

Thanks Guys!

I am building a fore and aft cradle and intended to use two straps to secure each muffler down per the Vernatone/Centek install instructions. However, I could not find anything regarding clearance from the hull/deck.

I really appreciate the information.
