Deck Substructure Question

Guys,
I'm at the point now where I'm making the attachment points and the substructure shelf the deck will sit on. It has always been my understanding that you can connect a piece made with fiberglass/vinyl ester resin to something made with epoxy resin, but not the other way around. Therefore, using the photo below that I believe is of Bob H's "Resolute" deck substructure, I want to confirm that it is OK to:
1. Make the deck substructure pieces indicated with the yellow arrows using Coosa and 1708 with vinyl ester resin, and then
2. Tab them into the Shambala's hull where the blue arrows are with 1708 and epoxy resin.
Thanks!
