Hey guys, trying to help a friend find his old 31. It was named the pepper back in the day and was sold to someone in Nantucket where it was a charter boat during the summertime for a bunch of years and sold again not to long ago. It is a 1969 sport fish with no back bulkhead and the hull number is 818. Last we know it had volvos with a ton of hours on them. If anyone has any idea of its where abouts please let us know. Thanks for the help.

On a 69 the Hull number is hidden either on the inside part of the transom or under the V birth. Or of course wherever else they decided to stick it.

Does it have a plate on the outside with the Hull number? Some States require that be done.

Neil,

Talking about Nantucket, I recently discovered a 1921 hand made map of Nantucket, given to my family by the author, some Austin Strong, signed and dedicated.
If anybody is interested I can make a photo or scan (?) and send it.

I asked some more questions and in Nantucket the boats name was the Monomoy, it had a tower, and the hull number was not on the outside of the hull, it was on the inside of the transom.
Yannis, that is a very neat phot, haven't seen anything like that

There was a PEPPER in Brielle/Pt Pleaseant----I think the owner moved up to a 35 ----which is docked at Robinson's in Glimmer Glass.
