Today is Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) Eve... If I have offended or wronged any of the sandbox brothers I apologize...

To all those that fast, may it pass quickly and easily... And may you be written in the book of life...

To all the others, all the best and tight lines!...

Not to worry, you are not insulting anyone (as of our current membership) by noting a holiday and wishing everyone well.

With that being said, here is to you and yours and anyone else who is celebrating this time.

Tony, you misunderstood... Jewish custom holds that between Jewish New Year and Yom Kippur we ask forgiveness for whatever wrong we may have perpetrated against our fellow man (and woman)... On Yom Kippur we ask Gd's forgiveness for our trespasses against Gd... Judaism differentiates between sins against our fellow humans and sins against Gd... Gd (allegedly) forgives the trespasses against Him (for example, performing labor on the Sabbath) when asked but requires that trespasses against our fellow humans (for example, having gossiped about somebody) be forgiven by the person in question... You can't be forgiven without apologizing and requesting forgiveness from the specific person that you wronged...

On this note, if any of the members feel they have somehow transgressed against me (though I'm unaware of any such transgressions) they are hereby completely and unrevocably forgiven...

May we be all written in the book of life!...

Sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake.

Yes I realize it is a day to ask for forgiveness. I just failed to put 2 and 2 together.

Nav..

I admit to having very little knowledge of the Jewish faith, but from the above I hope I am not out of place saying that I forgive you for any transgressions you might have committed against me, even though I am not aware of any.

Happy holiday!
