That's slightly steep, but they aren't making any more of them........

As Mike said, long out of production. They are chrome over bronze and are one of the iconic fixtures of the old school Bertrams. They usually trade for around $300-350 by my last check.

He's asking $499... Doesn't mean he's going to get it...

Joe

These guys have been the go to guys in NJ. I had them do the scupper trim about 7 years ago. They still look like new.

Give them a call.

Not sure if I am going to have an plating to do over the winter. If I decide to do any, we can meet one day and I can get yours and drop it off with mine. I will let you know when I lay the boat up for the winter. Don't let me forget.

They are only 15 minutes from me up here in North Jersey, and I am in Forked River quite a bit, even in the winter.

It is high...but I am assuming he's not in any rush to sell it.
So he sticks it up on e-bay, if he catches the right person at the right time, he's got a full tank of fuel.
If not, he's got a nice shiny paperweight.

Aside from that, one can ask high and accept less...a bit more difficult to go the other way around outside the confines of an auction.

This is true to a point. Once his wife trips over it in the garage a couple times, he will sell it cheap. Ask me how I know.

Tom

A nice T-Bone should keep Marley busy for a bit.

Back to the replating topic: I've had parts replated by two different companies. The first set was done 12 years ago and still looks great, the second set was 6 years ago and is already looking thin.

They were obviously different plating specifications so it makes sense to get outside references.
