2x 31's

We had my brother + his wife & son out yesterday and, after striking out whale watching (but nailing naps for 3 kids!), we pulled into Gosport Harbor at Isles of Shoals. Not more than 15 minutes after finding a mooring do I turn around to see a 31 coming in... I've been here for 5 summers and have yet to see a 31, so I was shocked; when it passed and I saw the transom, I was even more shocked... Capy! As is the case with many of us, I stalked this site for a while before joining and always admired the bent teak bulkhead on Capy (not to mention Paul's story about crossing Mass Bay: http://bertram31.com/capy.htm).

After we finished lunch on the boat, I dropped everyone off for a walk around the island and went over to chat... my wife snapped a picture from the island:

It is amazing how 31 owners always have time for other 31owners. Few brands can say they have that much of an impact on an owner that they are willing to share time with a fellow owner whom they have never met.

That is true brand loyalty.

IMHO it's really most Bertram owners to other Bertram owners... Regardless of the specific Bertram they own...

This is true, but I find our little boats attract more attention than any of the other Berts.

Nothing like seeing two 31's either sitting side by side or running together.
