Hello Friends, I am headed into this project with a concern as to the glass vs plastic material for non operable side windows Our boat currently has no windows and I have read up on a few ways to install them, Once I get the openings cleaned up I will hunt the insulation/gasket material ( any thoughts) then I will fabricate composite outer frame/ trim pieces,, kindly share your thoughts
the two bow window will be closed up with composite panels.

Re: B25 express cabin side windows
I just had a local company build me a frame and glass (ajr windows in Port Coquitlam) they asked only for a paper template or frame sample. Window and frame came with a roll of crazy sticky mastic. Install was a snap but for one detail. The mastic was so sticky that when screwing it in place the mastic would wind around the screw, and ruin the seal. There was enough mastic for a do-over so we started over and used dish soap on the screws. Worked like a charm.
