Got her wet
Splashed this afternoon just a short spin around the creek the diesels sound sweet and make lots of torque
Had no radio to get the bridge up for a longer run and no steering but she's getting there still lots to do and.lots of pictures to load on the site

Tom
Good to hear. Take the time to finish her up. Trust me if you don't, you will be chasing things to fix for years.

Re: Got her wet
quick and short run Monday night about 2400 cruise right at 22 knots
wot 2700 ish rpm just about 25 knots then a freeze plug blew out limped home
new plug installed last night went for another test run 2400 22 knots nice feel to the boat 5 minutes down the river pop goes a different plug and a plug on the other motor at the same time what a mess
tapped one of the plugs back in refilled cooling system and limped back home again
the only thing I didn't change on the rebuilds was the freeze plugs they look in good shape no rot they just popped out
some billet bolt in performance plugs in the air as we speak for install this weekend

Re: Got her wet
Thanks for posting. 22 knots works for me. That's where I cruise now. Good luck with the freeze plug stuff. Should be a pretty easy fix

Tom
You can probably run them all day at 2400, however I believe Cummins says it should be around 2200 RPMs.
