Need side window info

About 12 years ago we replaced the front curved windows brought from American Marine Products in Pompano Beach. I can not remember what they were made of, as we are thinking about replacing the side sliding windows with the same material. I'm hoping Capt. Pat will know. Also where can I pick up some of the fuzz material ? is there a new way or product to keep the sliding window closed so it does not slide open?

Capt. Pat, sounds expensive. Is there a difference from the stuff I could buy at a glass co. Everyone is telling me not to use acrylic.

Ed,

Acrylic isn't a very good choice of materials for flat windows; too much distortion and it doesn't age well... Glass would be preferable.

See the attached threads.

Also, I believe the other option is to pull out both windows and put in one big piece. Then caulk it in to seal it.
