I prefer the 5 star it is superior to the pompanette product in every way, unless you are a purist.....

Capy,
Do you have any pic of the support you make to hold the seat?
I love that seat and is on my list of things to do.

Thanks
Frank

Frank,

The support is a molded in base that was part of the first production run of about 50 boats.

It measures about 20 inches port to starboard, 14 inches bow to stern and it rises16 inches off the flybridge deck.

Sorry for not getting back but my days of casually surfing this site are history, I can only get here very infrequently.

Doug...looking to change the seating configuration on our bridge. Currently have the bench seat I assume the Pompanette product. Do you know of anyone who currently makes custom bridge seating?

Try Arrigoni Design for a pleated bench seat. I met them at the 2005 NY Boat Show. They have designed and created many 31 FBC-2 pedestal bench seats. Mine sits 3 adults, leaving room for storage under the seat, as well as room to move around on the bridge. I cost about $600, 2 years ago.

Fred-

I currently have the original Pompanette bench, with two tackle boxes mounted under the bench. The bench is about done, and my next little project is new FB seating. I think I'm going to make a marine ply bench, and mount a helm chair on a small pedestal on the center, and small seats on each side that fold flat to the bench. I want the side seats to fold for easier access (step over the folded seat), and a helm seat for comfort and on a pedestal so that I can rotate around and sit sideways to watch lines when trolling (and the folded seats won't be as much in the way when I'm sitting sideways). That's my next project once she's all ready for the season, and if you have any ideas on what you're doing, please share. I'm looking for suggestions.

John....We have some preliminary drawings for the bridge seat. As soon as I get the final version I will email you a copy. The seat will be set up to sit (2) comfortabley and be able to sit (3) with you legs off to the side..You will be able to walk around the seat and not worry about climbing over..
