She's finally back in the water after a 2 year rebuild at Holtz. All she needs now are electronics and outriggers then we can take her fishing again. Tom and the guys did a great job.

Al, Sharp looking ride...love the original top, those hatches in the roof are better than AC, I just crack em open and it cools you right off underway. Go enjoy Miss Amy and all the hard work to get her in shape. Hope to see you at one of the gatherings.BH

We were over there on Friday and saw yours floating in the work slip. She looks gorgeous. And mine is a beehive of activity. She's finished from the rub-rail down and they're going like blazes on the topsides.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Yes factory hardtop that was in rough shape the guys at Holtz had to do a lot of work on it.

John
I'll give you a call tomorrow don't know how much help I will be not an expert by any stretch, the person you should speak to is Tom Oakes at Holtz 772-485-4595. He a good guy and I'm sure he can answer any question you have.

Hi Al,
Thanks for your time there the other day.
Some stuff that slipped my mind to ask you then:
Now that you've lightened the load a bit, what are the #'s (cruise speed/rpm + wot)?
Does the exhaust run straight out, or what mufflers are you using?
What props (diameter/pitch + shaft diameter) ?
Thanks again for sharing.
BR,
John

I haven't run the boat yet, the guys at holtz had it out for a short ride to check things out no electronics so I don't have any numbers. My boat has 250hp cummins engines and in the 31 from what I have seen and what others have posted they run pretty close to whatever rpm you chose to cruise at 2200 you get 22knots, 2300/23knots and so on. In the Bahia with no tower we might do a little better but I wouldn't think it will be earth shattering.
I'm running 1 3/8 shafts if I ever brake one or was starting from scratch I would go with 1 1/2.
My props are I believe 20.5x21, as far mufflers go I don't know what was used the exhaust was moved outside to accommodate the new fish boxes but if you call Tom Oakes at holtz he can fill in the blanks he loves to talk 31 Bertram.
