New Owner

Post by moguls2go »

I just received a certified US Postal Service package containing the title to a 1968 FBC. I've been a lurker on the board for the past several years and I'm super excited to finally have one of these fantastic boats. I grew up in western Lake Erie bouncing around in a 17' and then a 24' Whaler... moved to Chicago with our 17' Whaler for a few years before making the move to Portsmouth NH 4 years ago (my wife's family is from this area). We have a 2 year old girl and a boy on the way (as in... could be any day- my wife is due next Wednesday). In the midst of all of that we decided a good idea would be to add a new boat.

The survey revealed some delamitation on a motor mount, so the boat is still at it's current home in Rhode Island while the yard makes that repair. At this point I'm not sure when we'll take delivery, but it should be sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Looking forward to creating a ton of memories and having a bunch of fun out there.

Best of luck with the new boat and the new baby. We are here to answer any questions.

Maybe one of the RI faithful knows her. Post her name and marina. Lets see what comes up.

The boat's called Ranger out of Standish Boat Yard in Tiverton. The owner spent a lot of time on Long Island (Southold I think).

"Ranger" is not familiar to me. As an aside, business yesterday on Fisher's Island and from the State Police dock around 1100 hours I saw a black hulled 31 headed West toward the Race. Too far away a name verification, but it was a pretty sight.
