Filling holes
I can't find the thread I think John F had maybe someone can point me to it. I am removing old hardware from the bridge and need to fill the holes. I have all the west system stuff from when I did my hatches.
Doesn't need to be finish work as eventually I will have the bridge repainted just want to keep from getting water damage.

Re: Filling holes
John were you able to find a putty stick in a color that was close to the original gel coat?

Re: Filling holes
I was going to repaint the boat, so I didn't try to find anything that matched

Re: Filling holes
I'm assuming when you say it doesn't need to be finish work, you mean as far as matching the color? Oherwise, fair it and fair it some more now, it is easier to do it now than to have to do it later, or pay someone else to do it. The devil is in the details.PeterPalmieri wrote:I can't find the thread I think John F had maybe someone can point me to it. I am removing old hardware from the bridge and need to fill the holes. Re: Filling holes
Tom,
I had the topsides but not the bridge painted a few years back by Raybo. I plan on doing the same with the bridge either this winter or next. Something that is close is a good temporary solution for me. I'd certainly prefer not to have red or green bloches all over the bridge but it's not super important, I just don't want water intrussion. That being said if I can find a putty pad that is close why not.
For now I'm getting the old snaps, windshield and rail out of the way so I can get the eisenglass where I want it. Removing the rail also means having around 20 or so holes in the brow to fill in. Later I will remove some antenna, outrigger and other hardware that is abandoned.
