Gentlemen, I just spent four days scrubbing, bleaching, sanding, and prepping my swim platform and now I am a little confused as to what to d next. I need some advice..

Varnish it?

Varnish and cetol?

Sikkens and clear gloss?

I am not afraid of the work but if it were yours what would you do? I will be doing my transom that is teak as well?

Help!!!!!!

Thanks, Ian Kramer

I love oiled teak. And certainly hate varnished as a swim platform, very slippery unless you use nonskid. Next time you have that 6' blue shark up near the swim platform you will appreciate the nonskid of the teak.

Once you have it oiled, if you keep after it, it is not so bad. Check out this post, but if you put the word teak in the search bar, you will get a large number of posts you can review and then decide what process works for you.
