Got the bow chock from Wayne back from American Electro Plating. Zowie, need shades to look at it. Now before installing it I would like to cover the two holes in from. Some one in the past said that a Perko? lens fits, but I can't figure out from the catalog which it is. Help!

I had the same problem. Chris at Carver's in Point Pleasant fixed it by taking two lens covers from a different light and heating them and cutting and shaping them to fit. Glued it in with 3M clear silicone and it looks brand new and works great. I would have never thought that the plastic would be so workable when heated, but he got it to look like it was machined.

I need lenses for mine too. Will those part numbers work on the hyena?

Get a small sheet of 1/8" rubber and cut some round gaskets, otherwise they'll leak.

John, Do you know what lenses Cgris started with?
Doug, Can't find 5053 in the Perko catalog. IS this an old number. Were they sold in pairs, thus the same number for both colors? Got a clue what they look like in the intended base? i.e. something I can search in the Perko catalog?

Call High Tide- they had them in stock. The part number is hand written on the box. High Tide probably bought up Bertram's or someones old stock. They were less than $20 each. For that price I jumped on a pair.

Mikey; Chris is away so I cant ask him right away. I think he just said they were off an old lantern that he had lying around. As long as the pieces are big enough you should be able to make rough cuts and then heat them and reshape them. I have some Perko ones that dont fit that I was going to try and make fit. Tonight, if I get home early enough, I will try and heat them up to see how workable they can get and let you know how the experiment works.

Guys, Talked to Hightide. He said the originals were made by Perko specifically for Bertram. They no longer produce them and had to think about gearing up to make 200 sets for Hightide. He hopes to know next week. I'll check. If that doesn't work, I'll call Hightide and beg.
