She's for sale, not sure I've ever seen a less professional set of photos that understates a $400k boat.

In any case there had been some interesting discuss on this boat years back so I thought I'd share.

I know that boat well, Dug Stowe probably does too -- a friend of ours ran it for years. He put a lot of fish in that boat.

Looks like he got lazy and took pictures out of an old survey.

That boat is an epic piece. She is fast, and gorgeous. Whoever buys her will be very lucky.

Out of my price range... unfortunatly.

But what a boat. I always loved seeing her fly out of the river.

That's what I thought. I think I saw one at the Miami show years ago.

Faithful,
I knew the father and son team that built those boats, In Riveria Beach they are out of business now. The son was working over in the mid east for some sheik, dad retired. Quality built boat that raises fish, a 42 footer that handles like our 31's. All hand laid glass in the bottom cored above the water line, no wood unless you ordered it for trim.

Pictures paint a portrait of some of my friends and certainly of a bunch of my dads.

All mechanical s are clean and tidy, electronics in order. Fishing equipment put away.
Everything else is where it fell is where it stays...

We get pictures of what is important to him...tachs, motors, fighting chair, electronics, plumbing, underwater hardware, fridge..ice,
kill boxes..I kinda expected to see some boat wakes...always get boat wakes in pictures.

We get pictures he was Told to Take...galley, sleeping quarters, cabin and amenities.

Absent are pictures of the head, cockpit views, side views, etc...basically no fluff.

Never have I seen an ad with the boats layup...

19 years averaging 200+ hours a year.
Charter or somebody that really used their boat.
Feels to me like the latter.

I hope nobody thinks I was downplaying the boat just the opposite I love it. But like a good real estate agent a boat like this deserves some professional photography.

Shows lots of details but no big picture. The mess says to me the boat has no storage. Just crap everywhere. How is the cabin laid out or the cockpit or the bridge? I happen to know because I've seen other pictures of this boat.

The one thing we do no is that the broker likes to have his boat shoes in the picture.

I saw one at the Palm Beach boat show---beautiful boat---the boat that Bertram should have built. I think they built a 46 with similar lines.

I should have mentioned that the guy that used to run this 42 Liberty has owned my B31 Tailhook for the past 6 years.

Craig

I remember the 46 but I think the lines wee totally different. That 46 Bert was a beast, but then again, what Bert built way back then wasn't. Not sure how the newer bigger ones stacked up but some use to say the 54 was the best sea boat they ever built.

Correction--Liberty made a 45 ---http://www.yachtopolis.com/index_details.asp?id=27140

I am just saying the Liberty 42 and 45 look more like a 31 than any model that Bertram ever introduced---

We are lucky enough to be discussing some of the finer products out there.
