Polishing out haze in clear vinyl

Post by In Memory of Vicroy »

One of the Faithful asked me what we use and I can't remember - I have the stuff at the camp, but not at home. The cream for polishing out haze and scratches, is it Novous? Also the need the name of the insulator wax to use after polishing - it starts with a "C".....he needs this for regular clear vinyl, not Strataglass.

Yes to Novus,
Colinite?sp? Insulator wax- white in a bottle
Regular pledge works well for maintenance polishing after you wash and wipe down with a clean t-shirt type rag and water

UV, You gave the stuff to me.
I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.

I knew it was a mistake to tell you where the camp key was.......

Vic,

I find the Novus to work well, and as you recall, it comes in three flavors: coarse, medium and fine (Novus I, Novus II, Novus III).

We're having mid-twenty degree nights here in NC. It's going to be a cold Daytona 500 this year.

Thanks Tommy, I forgot there were 3 different flavors - seems I had gotten the mild & the medium before the cat burgular got them. Shoot, Andre's enclosure looks so bad an angle grinder would do better.

The 500 will be interesting to see who gets caught cheating......I love cheats, made a good living off them for a very long time. Like I told da Judge one time - "quit complaining about crooks - if no crooks me & you would be riding on the back of a garbage truck about daylight"......

Yes, but wouldn't the world be a nicer place to live. And I would seperate the recycle waste from the trash for you two before pick-up.

Thanks everyone for all your help. Uncle Vic, Andre sent me a key but he didn't tell me where the camp is. Thanks again, Brian

Hey, carefull guys - I am riding the back of a garbage truck 'bout daylight and there's nothing wrong with it, well it actually a recycling truck and I don't have to ride it as often as I used too...Scott - I appreciate the recycling mention - it takes time, but attitudes are changing!

Novus works well. I also use Meguirs clear platic cleaner and it works as well as far I can see. Then apply Rejex for a shinny clear view. Dave K
