Sportfish hung up in field of pilings

Saw this on THT this AM.. sad situation!

Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Skipper apparently drifted out of channel.. into field of pilings hidden at high tide. Scan down page for larger picture.

For that reason I always take the other entrance into marina. It's marked okay, but lots of distractions in the area and becomes too EZ to miss a stick. Worth going the extra mile.

Keyports seven better at night...you have to kiss the green can on the way out.
Low water if you cut too close...field of sticks if you go wide.

Channels right off a well lit parking lot and town so eyes can't adjust...lil fog or a few boats crabbing and it's a nail biter.

Shame, that will definetly ruin your trip... Glad nobody was hurt.
