"Deep Down", naw, I don't love it... Harley needs to start a new division, maybe call it Hardly Dangerous and sweep the V-Rod and this electric wizzer over there. Don't get me wrong, nice engineering and Harley has every right to be proud of both of those different class of bikes, they just ain't the Harley image.

Tommy,

That'd be a hoot, but I'm starting to side with Dick Dean in philosophy about time to out grow old habits. I'm constantly reminding myself that it's time to find a new owner for my hog, or at least down size back to a Sportster.

Age is a state of mind, not a number. I hurt every morning I get up. Take two BC powders and a cup of coffee, curl my legs up like I'm trying to kiss my own ass and hop on the Suzuki and do 150 down the driveway.

If we still lived within gun play distance of each other, we'd be riding every week and my Indian would be done instead of an on going 3 year project.

Start a Llano chapter of the Outlaws or if that's a little heavy a Soldiers for Jesus chapter. All work and no play sucks.

I miss ridin with ya brother.

Whatever it is (besides "green") it's, IMHO, NOT a hog...

What's next?!... Electric muscle cars?!... And no, the Tesla is NOT a muscle car...

Bruce i don't know about age a state of mind. I sold the texas chopper because deep down i felt my response time was not what it was in addition to judgement . I was a accident waiting to happen. Honestly that S&S sitting under me was too much muscle and knees cannot support my weight let alone the machine you just got to know when to let go.

I have determined that I do not bounce like I used to.

At my age...

I am not as good as I once was...
But I am as good once as I always was!

Bob,

John Force is 65, won 16 championships as driver, drives over 300mph and still drives. Forget the G force trying smash all his little organs into a wilderness stew. Reaction time?

I'm sure his has slowed a bit but not enough to pussy out and hand the keys over in exchange for a set of keys to a Lark.

Besides we all die. Its just a matter of do we do it with a diaper on crapping ourselves while some fat hog wipes spit from our chin and eyes what we don't eat or do we go out in a blaze of glory where at our funeral men will say, boy he sure was dumb as a stump but he did go out glorious.

Trying to hang around to make sure the wife's new boy toy, Fernando the pool cleaner, doesn't get our crap is a waste of time. Fernando always gets our crap.

I am thinking as long as I am still enjoying life...I could deal with crap slipp'en out my pant legs and a little food dripp'en off my face.

Of course, if I ain't enjoying that's another story.

As to what people say at my funeral...who cares, I'm dead.

So if it were me and I enjoyed riding...what I am riding isn't as important as the fact that I'm riding.

That electric so called motorcycle's specs:
"The prototypes get about 53 miles per charge and takes roughly 3.5 hours to recharge".
So after riding 50 miles you get to rest for over 3 hours. I think a guy that's 97 could do that. You might die in route
somewhere between Tex and Fla at a recharging stop from boredom though.
