I must have missed the 'political comment' referred to in the thread. All I see is a humorous picture of very proud lab with the remains of his prey, a rabbit scalp. As a Christian who worships Jesus Christ, Easter is the most important holiday that I celebrate. But I don't view cracking on the mythical "Easter bunny" as a shot at my faith. I've seen that same expression on my retriever's face. With that said, I appreciate the sensitivity shown by CP. So to all my friends here in the Christian faith, Happy Easter! Likewise, happy Passover to my Jewish friends. And happy spring to all the rest of you great guys; boating weather is just around the corner!

Tommy,
There was no slur on anyone/anything other a certain person in Washington, and while I agreed with Nav, I just want this section of the board to be relatively free of politics of any flavor...
What I've always wondered is just where the heck the "Easter Bunny" come from in the first place? Had to be some wise ass advertising weenie spinning some commercial product at hand.

I actually think that is pretty funny.
My Brother In Law's lab is wuss, she would never touch it. We tried to get her to mouht a dead pheasant. She ran the other way. Hear a noise outside, she will bark, but will not go check it out unless someone else goes out first and tells her it's ok.

Agreed Patrick, commercialization of holidays is always about cranking the cash register. Still, the expression on that Lab's face is priceless!

Thought the Bunny was a German Lutheran thing...spring, new life, procreatation. Eggs another German Jewish corruption symbol.
Whatever the case, no disrespect taken about a pooch enjoying a springtime snack....

Happy resurrection day.
Over the years pagan holidays and religious holidays have gotten intertwined. What it boils down to is who you worship on those holidays. A nice lean tasty rabbit, a fat man in a white beard and red suit or the Son of Man.
I'm with the dog though. Been a few years since I tasted a nice plate of bugs bunny.
