In my opinion and it's a French opinion there is a problem, only 32 donators in 2015 from 1137 members!! What we can do to help, send email to all of them for any kind ($) of participation or :
i will just explain why i need and why we need this site and sand box, when i buy my B31 in NJ in june 2011 and transfer her through New York and Hong Kong by cargo and from Hong Kong to Puerto Princesa (Philippines) by the sea i never think that she need a complet refit.
We arrived in Palawan and i use her a few times in big game, built a trailer and pick up her at home for a refit; the sand box arrived and i read and take care of all your advertisement, read and read the incredible technical records of Cpt Pat, this records help me to rebuilt my B31 not
as i want because i'm really far from every think, but it's work!!!!! and without you i'm not sure that she will go back to the sea.Right now i'm just waiting a good mooring and enjoy her again.
For that i thanks all of you and at first Cpt Patrick, an incredible man, the figure of this place and hope my friend although we never meet each other. Thanks, thanks for all.
This big message to try to explain to all who registered like a guest to registered directly, it's a fantastic place and i learn too much here,FUND RAISER it's really important, go on!!!!hahahaha
My best regard to all and if you want to visit Palawan write me, you are welcome.

If only there was a Bertram 466 site like this one I would already have the manuals I've been looking all over for...

Even so, this site has been a help to me...

Paypal also charges... Every one of these services charges... They've got to make money some way... Having said that, Paypal has 2 payment options:

1) Payment for goods/services in which case their commission (3%) is on the receiver...
2) Sending money to family/friends in which case their commission (3%) is on the sender...

Oliver,
All is good, I saw it on my account this morning. I'll have a check out to Capt. Pat in the morning. I don't think PayPal charged a service charge...... If they did it was all on you and the full amount was put in my account.... I believe gifts are still free of charges.

Well Nav, I could just agree with you......but then we would both be wrong.....;))

I sent a $1600 payment a few months back to Colorodo and there was no fee. The payment had to go thru my bank account and not my CC so there was no additional charge.

The payment received today had a notation of " no fee"

If I wanted to transfer that payment to my bank, I think I might incur a charge, but if I use it to pay for PayPal debits there is no fee charged......and since I make a bunch of eBay purchases monthly, that's easy for me to do.

Not sure of all of PayPals rules and profit model......but it seems to work out pretty good for them.

Except that we wouldn't... See the link I provided... Some gifts are free (US to US paid from Paypal balance or linked bank account)... Others (e.g. those made via "plastic" or international) carry various fees...

Exactly what I said........wonder how they make any money?? ;)

......as for the rest......."it's so cheap it's almost free Senor"

Like a lot of other businesses, they offer a limited freebee on something that doesn't cost them any money...
RAWicklund wrote:"it's so cheap it's almost free Senor"
I don't disagree... But 2.9% + $0.30 for every transaction adds up when there are millions of transaction for hundreds of millions of dollars a month... Not only does it add up, it's BIG money... More power to them I say... When they started they barely had a market... Now they're practically indispensable...
