Calling Bob Lico
Bob,
Do you by any chance know how to contact the jug heads at Gaffrig? I've emailed them, called them numerous times and they never return. Boat owner has had the same issue.
Trying to get info on their 2000 era gps speedometer and what is the data baud rate it operates on. Tried all the go fast forum sites and all I see is what a POS they are but no technical data.

Re: Calling Bob Lico
Bruce they are the only " game" in town when it comes to offshore powerboat gauges and throttles and have become independent pricks. Same luck on this end for gauge replacement.

Re: Calling Bob Lico
Maybe an enterprising retired offshore racer with a bit of technical know how could build a better mousetrap and be the next only game in town..BH
1966 31 Bahia Mar #316-512....8 years later..Resolute is now a reality..Builder to Boater..285 hours on the clocks..enjoying every minute..how many days till spring?
Re: Calling Bob Lico
Bob that would contitute a business adventure --------- no thank you i would rather restore a mack dump truck! Incidently all the partying ,drinking, women and even winning the miami open brings back nothing but pain and suffering mainly the spinal cord cannot take all that pounding. Sooner or later you will get hurt luckily at 80mph in challenger instead of 128 mph skater cat. Big ordeal to get out of bed in the morning.one agent from FBI put me in place on "alert system" did not like the fact i had no DR. In front of my name." One lightning hit ###### up and we escort you to clearwater florida were you can walk across golf course with one of your outriggers!

Bob H,
The better mouse trap is just using the GPS to display your speed and forget the POS gaffrig supposed GPS speedometer in the dash between the tachs.

Re: Calling Bob Lico
Bob, I have no such gauges on my boat, therefore not a customer. Story, Story, story!

Re: Calling Bob Lico
Ok here we go throttle man two large tachs . Small oil pressure ,two inch gaffing throttles with palm rest ,no gears usually out of site and only forward and neutral ( pita to bring into temp slip after race). No GPS allowed so i have NOAA chart with race course outlined with compass readings on colored course line ,that chart is duct taped in front of steering wheel .i wear .large faced wristwatch facing inwards on left wrist to count minutes on course at designated rpm i look for orange turn pillow when i should be 1/2 mile away from turn. Two man boat driver has transfer fuel pumps to maintain proper trim base on water conditions.with fuel gauges for each tank. There is no speedometer on boat nor electronics just large accurate compass center on steering wheel.
