You can fly these things at night with no problem though. The phone apps give you altitude, distance and orientation on the ones we have. Lights too. I would think if you throw on a night vision capable camera they would be good for checking out deer if no trees were around. Never been hunting though....I would think it would spook the deer. But then again, so would an anal probe.
