Bob, i had two a black and a chocolate great dogs but I only want 1 dog at a time and thats my tracking/attack dog Dink (I called her Dink because if she didn't track i would use her as a Dink bait for Makos lol) Obviously by this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej1foUsk4yM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) she worked out! BTW no one can tell her she's only 12 pounds!

Don't matter how big she is, she gets the job done.i arrow a non typical 12 point buck and track it for hours with 4 other hunters .totally exhausted and sweating with those hunting clothes on.finally we called a dog tracking service .this is Long Island not Maine wilderness .the dog kept pulling to go to the main road finally the handler let her go.deer was 30' off a main road in a 30 yard tree barrier along the highway. Never say never I gave the guy a 20.00 dollar tip for making us look stupid! The duck boat is on the trailer because the ice is to thick to navigate but not thick enough to call it safe with quad.damn shame because magansers have flown in with this cold weather.

There are a lot of Hooded Mergansers out there what a beautiful bird! My buddy told me a story like yours 10 years ago and it stuck with me so I purchased a mini Dachshund and started training her at 3 months she's 4 now and averages 3-4 deer finds a year, unfortunately she's showing signs of spinal cord degeneration already but she is very happy on my wife's lap now
