Long Island to New England

Post by PeterPalmieri »

Our buddy "Killa" bought my gin pole, but also fractured his leg. If anyone is making a trip from the Island, can fit a gin pole in the truck and is heading up towards the cape. Please let us know. I was originally going to drive it out to Orient put it on the ferry and he was going to pick it up on the other side.

Met up with FreddyP one of brothers who doesn't do much posting. He is down on the island from RI and will be bringing the gin pole up to the cape for Killa.

Nice to chat Fred and thanks for the assist, hopefully you'll introduce yourself around here and post some pictures of your boat!

Tim / Peter -
It was great to meet you guys. Logistics of this trip worked flawlessly. Peter was minutes away from a friend's place on Long Island so we met up at 7 AM last Saturday. On the other side, Tim was minutes away from my parent's place on Cape Cod where I was headed for TG. Killa and I met at a gas station Wednesday evening in the POURING rain but somehow managed not to get too soaked getting the gin pole out of the truck. I drove back to RI yesterday - I'm glad it worked out as well as it did and it was great to meet up with two of the Bertram gang!

FreddyP

PS - I am embarrassed to admit that this is my first post since 2006! Hopefully I don't wait another 6 years...

Prion didn't you hang out on the 25 board when it was alive? The name looks familiar?

Hi Mark -

Yes, that's me. I have sold "Prion", so I should probably ask Cap Pat if I can change my name here without setting up a new account.

I miss the old 25 board..
