Interesting article about Tommy Gifford and the 31 Bertram. The writer says that the rakish hard top has been lowered and had helm and tower controls with 2 padded cells. Sounds like it was an express boat with a tower. Also on the same page was a box score for the Indians vs Red Sox Indians won 13 to 2 but the name Franconia stood out, he played for the Indians and later on he coached the Red Sox, In that game Carl Yazstremski hit a home run.

Tommy wrote a book called ANGLERS & MUSCLEHEADS---it can be read online---a pioneer of big-game fishing in the golden age.
