I dunno Mark, I think "Axe" may be a bit too grammatically correct...
I'm thinking more along the lines of "aks" or "acks"

When I moved to North Carolina from Mass I discovered the cashiers in our local stores here were always using the longest word in the English language. Every time I paid them they would say...

"Yallcomebackandseeusagainrealsoon, hear?
