replacement rub rails ?

Hi,the boat i`am looking at (B37 , 1987) is missing a section of rub rail ,whats the best way to go? alloy or plastic ? and who`s got the best replacement product,? costs ? the rest of the rial is ugly at best, so I`d look to replace the lot ,any and all info/ideas welcome, ps hows the fishin? its our off season ,so its cold and wet, worse still ,no fish

Todd, Mike's link is right on; the PVC is the way to go IMO.
