Reading the above this afternoon after spending this AM at my county Personal Property Tax collector's office dealing with their stupid mistakes about where my boat and dinghy were located on Jan 1, 2010 almost made my head explode!

Now where did I put that bottle of scotch?

Seems like just another money grab, however...after reading through, it seems that the proceedure (screening and such) will continue, but now at the CG, and fees will probably go up for those that need the TWIC. Additionally, it said that all initial MMC applicants will still require to go through the TWIC prtocess.

Remember, once they acquire a way to get our money, they will make sure that they will continue (somehow) to get it in the future...

The receipt I requested when I got mine came from Lockheed-Martin.

Walter...

So did mine.. When I asked why the girl said Lockheed Martin was the company the government chose to run the TWIC program. I suspect that LM got a percentage and the government got the rest.

College kids taking the input, photos and fingerprints, and your money. So much for "security".
