The concentration and skill level those guys have- they all mine as well be Jeremy Mcgraths. I've been told esp. on the street if your not "on it" when you land those air times your done. It will turn into uncontrollable headshake.
I know a bit about that in the dirt, but that's as far as I'll go on a bike, nice soft dirt and low speeds! Good ol' XR400 keeps me slow and fun factor high while I'm camping.

Very cool. I wish they stop the soundtrack so you could just listen to the engines scream. I could listen to that all day...
After a long layoff, I recently got my street license again. Bike shopping is tough. Everything is a Harley or Harley wannabe (I like Harleys, but just not for me), or a GP bike in street trim, like the CBR RRs, GSXRs, Ninja 636s. A guy down the street had an old Kawasaki 400 2-stroke triple, and I bought that to hold me over. I've had 2 triples before--simple, quick, light, and handle poorly. All in all, lots of fun.
Thanks for posting the video. Great for the morning coffee..

john...bought brand new in 1969 for $999 out of the box. i put 20K on the next winter riding around california. my favorite thing in life was merging on the freeway entrance ramp and having a hot car approaching in the right lane. you knew he was going to try and stop you from getting on ahead of him........and you knew he couldnt. fastest stock vehicle on the planet to 60 MPH in 1969.
A friend of mine bought a 900 Z1 when they were the fastest stock bikes around. My 500 triple (it had chambers, can't forget that, and I think i had been ported, etc) was quicker to about 100 or so, and then the Z1 would catch up and walk away. Plus, it sounds kinda' like my old MX bikes (KX125 and RM250) from back in the day at Bridge--I love that sound and smell.
Nice pic Randall. You certainly have fine taste in things that require sparkplugs, as well as in other things of course.

Nice bike Randall. I remember those days of lightening a bike--"hey, let's drill holes here, here and here, that'll lighten it up."
Here's my 400. Went for a ride today. If I get to it, I may "cafe racer" her a little bit this winter.
My real winter project will be to clean everything up on my B20 foredeck so she's completely clean. She fished well this season as a centeconsole.

its funny but in almost every fun endeavor there is a divide. skiers -snowboarders, long board -short board, power boat-sailboat, and without using derogatory terms in motorcycles....agility-comfort.
since i quit when i was 23 it was ALL about speed and agility.
BTW......bruce....very nice!!
who makes those now? i'm assuming its not the original company. i have a friend that has a late 30s indian.
