The 2010 Fundraiser

Post by Carl »

I'm embarrassed to say I did not contribute to last years fundraiser...I could give excuses and reasons many good and other not so good...but in the end I didn't send anything.

I'm going home today and sticking a check in the mail.

Please guys I urge you to do the same. Lets not take for granted the amount of time and work Capt Patrick devotes to this site...just keeping it up and running smoothly without the hassles of Spam and Pop Ups that plague many sites. Then add to that the free expertise offered...where else can you get that? An additional bonus and perhaps the most important reason is the friendships we have made along the way...I feel a bond with everyone here in our Sandbox...can't put a price tag on that.

Well...actually I guess you can.

Please tell Capt Patrick what this Sandbox means to you. Tell him by sending a check made Payable to Patrick, sent to:

PATRICK McCRARY
834 SCOTT DRIVE
LLANO, TX 78643

Thank you,
Carl

Carl,

Thank you for kickin' a fund raiser off! As always, I'm fairly silent when it comes to stickin' my tin cup out, but donations are truly the only thing that pays for this site. Without you Guys chippin' in, all expenses come from whatever custom production comes in, and that's been pretty slim for the past two years...

Lately there has been some server issues that have really been pissin' me off. We have it resolved for the most part & the ITs are moving me to a less crowded server in the wee hours of tomorrow morning. Hopefully that will fully resolve the problems, but if not, I'll have to look for other solutions.

Again, my heart felt Thanks to all who help me finance this Internet Dating Service, as Uncle Vic labeled it years ago.

I know some of have asked for me to set up a PayPal account for donations, but frankly I've had several issues with PayPal in the past and just don't want to fool with them. Sorry...

Sincerely,

Patrick

Carl,

Thanks for stepping up to the plate to kick off our 2010 effort to show Patrick how much we value him and his (our) site! The enjoyment of being a Bertram owner is multiplied many times over as a result of Bertram31.com. My check is going in the mail today as well. I look forward to reading Uncle Vic's rallying call upon his return from Tropic Star.

Me too.. in the mail in a day or so.

Thanks Capt Pat for sharing your experience, expertise, innovative techniques, worldly wisdom, encouragement, tolerance for my dumb questions, interest in seeing the greatest boats ever built brought back to life, concerns for our country's well being, ability to innovate, knowledge of materials, tips and pointers, and willingness to share your time, effort and I suspect money, to keep this site a special place where big boys can play, and small boys can learn.

My vote for the best site ever built!

Absolutely!

What a great site. Searching the old threads have defenitely kept me from reinventing the wheel whenever I have a problem or concern.
Not to mention the entertainment value.

Thank You!

I have not been on the site for a long time [so long that i forgot my sign in info].
The site is great and Capt. P. has to spend an unbelieveable amount of time keeping it running. A check will be mailed this week.

Somehow you dug up the 2010 fundraiser page. There is another active thread for 2011.

Couldn't find it and this one was at the top of the index. I kept seeing all the 2010 dates. But the effect is the same so we can all chip in. Maybe the other thread will show up.
