The weather forecast for the comming week is expecting 10 days of rain.
Tommorow the family and I will fly , and the boat will be there first light on thursday....................Can't wait !!!!
Best Regards Gert.
If any of our Italian frends have suggestions for must see's keep me posted
Women are like boats ,the older they get , the more money and professional help they need to look beautiful.

Gert,
Have a great trip, you'll certainly have one of the classiest boats on the water. If you cruise through Monaco, look for the B-31 "Orca". It's my old Sportfisherman that was named "Island Girl" when I owned her here in North Carolina for ten years. Her current steward is a great guy in the yacht brokerage business there in Monte Carlo.

Porto di Alassio e isola Gallinara dal Santuario di Santacroce are really really beautifull. I have been there some years ago unfortunatelly not with my Bertram but anyway very nice.
Porto fino is also nice but if I were you, I avoid to go inside Genoa with the boat. Porto Finale also very nice and a good marina.
Beware of the winds on this Mar de Ligure when the Tramontana winds come down, when I sail there I always check : http://www.xmeteo.it/Mari/mar-ligure?d=4&l=6&f=1 and other times
http://www.varigotti.liguria.it/meteo.htm
I am sure you know all this but...
if I remember correctly from those times , Tramontana was a cold wind from N, Grecale was the NE wind, Scirocco was warm from the Sahara, the Libeccio from SW and the Levante from E to W more on the Gibraltar strait. I really remember those happy sailing days.
All the best for you , enjoy well and from time to time just place some pictures to keep us updated or ... drooling.

It's funny to think there will soon be another Island Girl in these waters! This picture was taken when she first arrived in Monaco and before being registered here. As Tommy rightly said she is now called Orca and you'll see her in Cap D'Ail if you head this way, where there's also a Bahia Mar called Beaugeste
I dont know of many places between here and Genoa but after you have Portofino, Rappallo and Santa Marguerita which are all worth visiting (and are homes to several B31's). If you're tempted to head into France, the islands off Cannes are great and further down the coast the Porquerolles are stunning.
Congratulations on Island Girl, she looks amazing!
