new transducer and dead rise

Post by Bobkat »

I am replacing and old through hull transducer, located aft of the starboard engine and near the center line. I am looking at an Airmar B164 through hull flush mount. They come in three dead rise angles, 0,12,20.

0 is out but I ask is 12 or 20 best suited for this location?

Thanks

Bob,

The hull deadrise is 23.5 degrees, so I went with the 20 on my 31, and it worked great.
